1. Excellent mechanical properties
H62 brass strip features high strength and hardness while maintaining good ductility, making it suitable for cold working processes such as stamping and bending. Its tensile strength is usually between 300 and 400 MPa, and the elongation can reach over 15%. Therefore, it is widely used in the fields of electronics and electrical appliances, hardware products, etc.
2. Good electrical and thermal conductivity
Due to the high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper, H62 brass strips perform outstandingly in scenarios such as heat dissipation components and conductive connection plates. Although the addition of zinc will slightly reduce the conductivity, compared with pure copper, H62 achieves a better balance between cost and performance.
3. Corrosion resistance and limitations
H62 brass strip has good corrosion resistance in dry environments and neutral media, but it may undergo dezincification corrosion in humid or chlorine-containing environments. Therefore, in Marine environments or chemical applications, its corrosion resistance needs to be enhanced through coating or alloying treatment.
